Our Commitment to Care

Serenity Behavioral Health Services was founded on the belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate mental healthcare.

Our Story

Born from a deep-seated desire to serve the Fostoria community, Serenity Behavioral Health Services was established to be a sanctuary for healing. We saw a need for integrated care that addresses both mental health and addiction with the same level of dedication and expertise.

Our approach is simple: to provide a peaceful, safe, and supportive environment where individuals of all ages can find the strength to heal, grow, and achieve lasting wellness.

Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the State of Ohio. I am also a Licensed Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church. I received my Bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Communications from Heidelberg College (now University) and my Master's of Arts in Clinical Pastoral Counseling and Master's of Divinity degrees from Ashland Theological Seminary. I have experience with a wide degree of mental health and substance use issues, including working with children from ages 4 through adults aged 99+. I believe God desires to "proclaim good news to the poor…bind up the brokenhearted…proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners," as well as to "comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve…to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment from praise instead of a spirit of despair." (Isaiah 61:1-3) I am honored to serve God by serving you and your loved ones. I have a special heart for children and adults with ADHD, as well as past trauma and related depression and anxiety. I also enjoy helping couples see their ultimate potential and strengthening their relationship for the benefit of themselves and their family. When you are in session with me, the goal is always to find hope and healing.
